For the first time, a restaurant can turn its disconnected interactions with a customer into one relationship to bring them back more often and help grow sales

The restaurant experiences people remember are personal. That might mean a recommendation that feels made just for you, a loyalty reward ready to use when you walk through the door, or a server who already knows your usual order. These are the experiences that turn first-time customers into regulars, and regulars help restaurants grow. But the tools restaurants rely on to create these experiences often do not work together. Today, DoorDash (NASDAQ: DASH) introduced DashOS, built to change that.

Introducing DashOS - one platform to help restaurants grow.

Introducing DashOS - one platform to help restaurants grow.

DashOS is one platform to help restaurants grow. It works behind the scenes, connecting DoorDash’s products across Marketplace, direct ordering, reservations, loyalty, guest management and marketing, without requiring restaurants to adopt a separate system or overhaul their operations. At its core, it connects a customer’s interactions with the same restaurant across channels, whether they order from that restaurant on DoorDash or directly, join its loyalty program, make a reservation or dine there. This helps operators better understand their own customers, personalize their experiences and build stronger relationships, no matter where the relationship begins. The result is a restaurant that knows its customers better over time, can spend less to bring them back and can grow more profitably because of it.

"Millions of people come to DoorDash to discover restaurants every day, and until now, restaurants had no real way to build on that," said Parisa Sadrzadeh, VP of Strategy and Operations at DoorDash. "DashOS changes that. For the first time, restaurants get a direct line to those customers to make every interaction more relevant. Every interaction becomes more valuable than the last, and over time, that can turn discovery into loyalty and profitable growth."

Three ways DashOS grows a restaurant

According to the 2026 Industry Trends Report, 40% of U.S. operators surveyed manage four to five separate technology systems, while 83% believe better-connected systems would directly improve their profitability. DashOS is built to close that gap through three initial areas:

  • Drive more sales: DashOS helps restaurants use customer insights to personalize recommendations and marketing. In early tests, AI-powered personalized recommendations increased total reservations by more than 15%¹. SevenRooms marketing tools, now using blinded, aggregated DoorDash Marketplace insights, have helped restaurants generate more than $150 million in sales² this year.
  • Build stronger customer relationships: DashOS makes it easier for restaurants to enroll customers in loyalty programs and reward them wherever they order or dine. Once enrolled through DoorDash’s omnichannel loyalty program, on average, consumers order 1.8 times as often and spend about 1.75 times³ as much per consumer compared to those who have not opted-in.
  • Do less manual work: AI tools from DoorDash and SevenRooms automate time-consuming work like creating marketing campaigns, analyzing customer behavior, responding to reviews and answering calls. SevenRooms Voice AI has helped restaurants generate, on average, more than $10,000 in monthly revenue4.

One guest, wherever they order or dine

According to the same report, 74% of consumers surveyed said a dine-in visit led them to later order delivery from the same restaurant, while 62% said a delivery order led them to dine in later.

For a restaurant like Italian Brothers in the Bay Area, a guest might first discover the restaurant and order delivery on DoorDash, then join its loyalty program right from the app. Later, a personalized email could bring them back to order directly from the restaurant’s website. An in-store reward might inspire their first visit to a nearby location, followed by an invitation to an event that turns into a booked table. To the guest, these moments are part of one relationship. To Italian Brothers, they can look like separate customers, making it harder to understand what drives repeat business. DashOS connects those moments, helping Italian Brothers recognize the guest across ordering channels, personalize future interactions, and better understand where to invest.

"The challenge isn’t just reaching a customer once, it’s understanding what brings them back and where to invest," said Marco Montevago, Manager at Italian Brothers Restaurant. "Our guests don’t think in channels, and our team shouldn’t have to piece those channels together behind the scenes. DashOS helps us better understand our guests and grow more profitably, without adding another system for our team to manage.”

Connecting with leading technology systems

DashOS is designed to work alongside the systems restaurants already run, which is why DoorDash is deepening its integrations with leading POS and middleware providers, including Clover from Fiserv, Qu, Checkmate, Chowly, Deliverect, Stream, and Urban Piper, with more to follow. Beginning in 2027, DoorDash plans to give 80,000+ restaurants on these systems more ways to use SevenRooms’ guest profiles and Online Ordering, In-Store Rewards, and Omnichannel Loyalty to help merchants drive visits, grow enrollment and build direct customer relationships. The goal: every restaurant should be able to grow with DashOS, no matter their tech stack. Learn more about the DoorDash Integrations Program here.

“Restaurant operators shouldn’t have to choose between running their business and managing disconnected technology systems,” said Robert Clarkson, Chief Revenue Officer, SMB and Clover at Fiserv. “The Clover platform, combined with DoorDash’s innovative customer engagement tools, gives restaurants a more connected ecosystem that helps them operate more efficiently, attract repeat guests and grow.”
